“Yandex Museum” will hold the “Demodulation” festival
On October 5 and 6, “Yandex Museum” will hold “Demodulation” – an annual festival dedicated to technology, science and related art. It will be interesting for both adults and children: lectures by scientists and developers, master classes, video game tournaments and interactive stands await visitors, the company’s press service told Khabru.
At the Demodulation festival, visitors will be introduced to advanced technologies from various fields, such as quantum physics, space development and technical art. Partners of the festival are the Polytechnic Museum, the cultural space “Zotiv”, the Museum of Cosmonautics, the exhibition of robotics “Robostation”, the Museum of Soviet gaming machines and other organizations.
For example, at the lectures you will be able to learn about the creation of artificial Earth satellites, the Soviet computer industry and modern digital art.
At the master classes, you will be taught how to program on Soviet calculators or how to assemble a robot from ready-made parts in order to then participate with it in a battle against other robots.
Special attention will be paid to Yandex technologies at the festival. Visitors will be able to see themselves through the eyes of a robot courier, push objects with the help of a robot hand, examine the “Station” with Alice without a case and understand how it is arranged inside.
In addition, the event will present an expanded exhibition of retro computers and game consoles, collected from the collections of several Yandex museums.
For the first time, leading universities of the country: MISIS, ITMO and NSU HSE will present their interactive art installations at Demodulation. Guests of the festival will also be able to listen to live music performed by indie artists and purchase t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, notebooks and more.
“Demodulation” will be held in Moscow at Vinzavod: 4th Syromyatnytskyi lane, 1/8, p. 6. Entrance is free, but you need to register in advance site festival
