the US court temporarily suspended the import ban

Apple will be able to sell its latest watches again after a US appeals court temporarily suspended an import ban in a major win for the iPhone maker. This is reported by CNBC.

Apple’s statement says that the Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2 models will go on sale in branded Apple stores and online stores.

“We’re excited to bring the full Apple Watch line back to customers in time for the New Year. Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 will be available for purchase again in the United States at Apple Stores starting today and on (Thursday) until 12:00 PM PT.” – said in the statement of the representative of Apple.

Apple stopped selling its Series 9 and Ultra 2 watches last week in stores and online in response to an International Trade Commission order that found a blood oxygen sensor in the devices infringed on the intellectual property of Masimo, a medical technology company.

The suspension of the ban means that Apple will be able to sell the latest models of one of its most important products during the busiest buying time of the year. Apple Watch sales were reported to be $39.8 billion in fiscal 2023, which ended in September.

The pause in sales did not affect the Apple Watch SE, an older model that cannot read blood oxygen levels.

Masimo shares fell more than 4% on Wednesday. Shares of Apple remained unchanged.
