The president of Microsoft told how the company will fight against “offensive content created by AI”

Microsoft President Brad Smith talked about how the company will fight against “offensive content created by artificial intelligence”. He believes that neural networks are increasingly used in everyday life, and in the absence of regulation, they can become a new tool for fraud, intimidation and blackmail.

Smith published six areas in which Microsoft plans to ensure the security of the content it generates. First of all, the company will continue to develop detailed filters that prohibit the creation of controversial and offensive materials. Users who violate the platform’s rules will be blocked.

At the same time, Microsoft will introduce systems for labeling generated content. Currently, such tools are used in Microsoft Designer, Bing and Copilot. The company plans to expand marking and identification systems to all its II solutions.

In the future, the company plans to cooperate with other representatives of the field and law enforcement officers. In addition, society needs to be taught to distinguish generated content from the present.
