The Okko program became available in the App Store a year after its removal
The Okko online cinema program is now available again in the App Store a year after it was removed, the company’s CEO Serhiy Shishkin said at the presentation of new projects.
“A year ago we were removed from the Apple platform and the Okko app was not available on Apple. But thanks to long and painstaking negotiations with Apple, from today the Okko application is again available in the store, everyone can download and update it,” he said.
The previous version of the program was restored in the store. “That’s why we didn’t lose the user base on Apple devices that we had before the removal,” Shishkin explained.
In August 2022, the Okko app disappeared from the App Store. The company received no warnings or explanations from Apple.
Okko was owned by Sber, but in May 2022, due to sanctions imposed against the bank, the service was sold to the Russian company New Opportunities JSC, nominally unrelated to Sber.
