The developer has released Wren – a minimalist CLI task tracker with Telegram bot support
Developer Yo’av Moshe presented a simple Wren CLI task tracker with Telegram bot support. The list of tasks can be managed using a terminal on a computer or a bot on a smartphone.
Tasks in Wren are plain text files. Their names are used as task titles, and their contents are used as descriptions. Completed tasks are moved to the Done folder. The author of the project notes that such an architecture allows files to be synchronized between devices without errors and failures.
You can schedule tasks. To do this, you need to specify the date in the format YYYY-MM-DD. Such a task will be displayed in the general list only in due time. Users can connect a large GPT-4 language model, which will act as an assistant, communicating plans for the day. One of the features of Wren is the integration with the Telegram bot. With this, the user can manage tasks from a smartphone. Data is synchronized between devices.
The project code is entirely written in Python and published on GitHub. Along with this, the developer provided detailed instructions on how to use the tool.
