Web developer Jhey Tompkins has released Brick Yourself, a web application that generates Lego figures from photos. With its help, you can create figurines in the style of celebrities or yourself.

Brick Yourself is built on GPT-4 and Dall-E 3, which are responsible for prompt formation and image generation. The frontend of the application is written in Next.js with components of the Shadcn UI library. The finished application was deployed and hosted on Vercel with the Vercel KV database and using the Vercel AI SDK open library.

To work with Brick Yoursel, you need to use a personal OpenAI API key. In the future, Tompkins plans to implement the possibility of payment directly on the application page. After inserting the key, the user can upload the image to build. You can use photos from the device’s memory or use the camera.

The system will generate a prompt based on the content of the photo and generate an image of a Lego figure. If the result is not satisfactory, you can run the generation again or manually adjust the request.

Examples of generations
