The company “Achyvka” began to declare and organize the import of Nintendo products to the Russian Federation

Short description

Achivka LLC has announced plans to import products from Nintendo to Russia, with its CEO and co-owner being the head of the Russian division of Nintendo. If authorized, Achivka could gain access to dealer purchase prices and become the operator of the Nintendo eShop digital store. Nintendo had previously suspended sales and supplies to Russia in March 2022, with products now appearing through parallel imports. This has resulted in new PC games on physical media being stopped by Russian retailers due to low demand and high prices compared to digital editions.

The company “Achivka” began to declare and organize the import of products of the Japanese manufacturer of games and consoles Nintendo to Russia.

The CEO and co-owner of Achivka LLC is the head of the Russian division of Nintendo (Nintendo Ru LLC) Yasha Khaddazhi.

Professional experts explained that previously Nintendo had not announced plans to sell local business to Russian managers. In their opinion, if Achivka’s actions are authorized by Nintendo, the Russian company can gain access to dealer purchase prices and become the operator of the Nintendo eShop digital store.

In March 2022, Nintendo suspended the sale of games and the supply of consoles to the Russian Federation. Since the summer of 2022, Nintendo products have appeared at Russian sellers as part of the supply of parallel imports.

In March 2023, the media reported that Russian retailers had stopped importing new PC games on physical media due to low demand for them. After the introduction of parallel import, games on discs have become significantly more expensive and are no longer able to compete with digital editions.
