The compact retro console GKD Pixel has hit the market for $90
A miniature retro console GKD Pixel has been released, which has enough capabilities to emulate the first generation of PlayStation and older consoles. The gadget will cost users $90, and shipping will begin at the end of January 2024.
GKD Pixel is equipped with a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of 320×240 pixels, and the dimensions of the device are 80x56x18 mm. On the front panel of the console there is a D-Pad, four action buttons, Start and Select keys. Triggers, a power button, a USB-C port for charging, a speaker, a battery level indicator and a headphone jack are placed on the side edges. The body of the GKD Pixel is made of aluminum in black, blue, red and green colors.
The device is designed on the basis of the Ingenic x1830 processor with 128 MB of RAM. A battery with a capacity of 1300 mAh is responsible for autonomy. It is enough for 3-4 hours of autonomous work, and computing capabilities provide emulation of consoles to the first generation of Sony PlayStation.
Users can now pre-order the GKD Pixel for $90. The manufacturer plans to start deliveries at the end of January 2024.
