The Chinese manned space agency presented a spacesuit for landing on the moon

At the end of September 2024, the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) unveiled a spacesuit for landing on the moon.

According to relevant experts, in the space suit Chinese space developers emphasized great mobility, especially in the area of the lower joints. The solution allows you to squat, stretch, kneel and rise from the surface with ease.

The Chinese spacesuit includes a thermoregulation unit, a multi-function control unit, several helmet-mounted cameras, and a panoramic anti-glare visor. On the life support device of the spacesuit, the inscriptions on the buttons are visible: 风机” (fan), “经经鱼” (communication), “电影” (computer), “消音” (noise suppression), and “副时” (external pump). .

The space suit was officially presented to the public by Chinese cosmonauts Zhai Zhigang and Wang Yaping. China plans to send two of its space explorers to the surface of the moon by 2030 with the Menzhou (Dream Boat) spacecraft and the Lan Yue (Moon Scope) lunar lander.

On September 12, 2024, two crew members of the Polaris Dawn mission performed the first-ever spacewalk. This procedure was carried out by space tourists Isaacman and Gillis. Astronauts took turns exiting the ship, but not far, literally up to their waists, holding on to a special Skywalker structure that protrudes from the ship for stability. At the same time, they could not “float freely” far from the Crew Dragon. Their spacesuits, designed by SpaceX, are not equipped with their own oxygen supply or other life-support equipment and have relied on 12-foot (3.6-meter) hose cables to supply air, power and communications from inside the craft.

. “Earth certainly looks like a perfect world from here,” Isaacman said.
