The bankruptcy administrator of Google LLC demands to collect 130.2 billion rubles from Google Ireland Limited

The manager of the Russian legal entity of Google, Valery Talyarovsky, appealed to the Moscow Arbitration Court with a request to invalidate the transactions of the branch in favor of Google Ireland Limited. Talyarovsky is asking the court to declare illegal two contracts between Google LLC and Google Ireland Limited, which were concluded on December 23, 2009 and April 24, 2018, as well as transfers in the amount of about 336.5 billion rubles made between April 1, 2018 every year until March 3, 2022. Talyarovsky demands to collect approximately 93.4 billion rubles from Google LLC, as well as interest for the illegal use of funds in the amount of about 3.68 billion rubles.

In addition, the liquidator filed a lawsuit to cancel the payment of salaries and social benefits to former employees. These employees include the former CEO of Google in Russia, David Sneddon, and the ex-managing director, Yulia Solovyova. Talyarovsky asks the court to cancel payments to Sneddon in the amount of more than 3.3 million rubles. and more than 1,740,000 rubles. Yulia Solovyova.

In the spring, Talyarovsky demanded from Google International the return of 10 billion rubles, which were paid by the Russian company in 2021 as dividends and taxes, Kommersant reports.

In 2022, the Russian subsidiary of Google filed an application to the court with a request to recognize its bankruptcy. The arbitration court recognized the request as justified and started the procedure in September of the same year.
