Spotify has launched the function of showing music videos in 11 countries

Spotify has launched the music video feature in 11 countries, including Brazil, the UK, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Colombia, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, the Philippines and Sweden.

The company says the beta version of the feature is only available to premium subscribers. The platform hopes to expand its catalog of clips and also intends to provide the option to more users in different countries.

The music video library is currently limited. It includes music videos by Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Ed Sheeran and other artists. Spotify points out that music videos create a new point of connection between listeners and artists.

Users in 11 countries can watch clips on iOS, Android, PC and TV. After pressing the Switch to Video button, the video will start playing in the background, but you can watch it in full screen mode.

Last year, Spotify added more than 200,000 audiobooks to the streaming service and allowed authors to stream exclusive content from Patreon.

The most popular platform for publishing clips remains YouTube. Apple Music also expanded support for music videos. In addition, the Apple service offers 24-hour streaming of clips.
