Soviet slot machines were a product of the rapprochement between the USSR and the West in the early 1970s, during the Brezhnev-Nixon detente. The Soviet Ministry of Culture bought most of the slot machines that appeared in Moscow at the international exhibition “Attraction-71”, and already in 1974 the most famous Soviet slot machine “Sea Battle” went into production.
