Service dogs for the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation will be equipped with FPV cameras / Habr
The Center for Integrated Unmanned Solutions (CCBR) has developed an FPV device with a video camera and speaker to equip dogs serving in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, the head of the organization, Dmytro Kuzyakin, said. According to Kuzyakin, in the course of cooperation between the Ministry of Emergency Situations (Emergency Situations) of the Russian Federation and specialists of the Central Bureau of Investigation, the idea of equipping dogs in the department’s service with FPV cameras appeared.
The dog trainer does not always move with his ward, the head of the Central Committee of the Russian Federation said. Sometimes the dog is forced to crawl into confined spaces, for example, when searching for victims after the collapse of buildings. She can get somewhere or run quickly without a person, if it is about rescue work in the mountains. At the same time, the dog will not be able to relay the situation and report on the condition of the victims. In order to have such an opportunity, CCBR specialists decided to strengthen dog handlers and their dogs with FPV technologies. According to Dmytro Kuzyakin, when using the device, the dog handler will be able to remotely control the animal using voice commands.

Chapter CCBR
“FPV is two radio channels, a control channel and a video transmission channel. We implemented a video transmission channel for the four-legged employees of the departments. Management takes place via the “acoustic channel” — the dog trainer’s voice. Now it is a small device with an antenna and a speaker, which is attached to the chest of the animal on a special discharge. The dog trainer sees the same thing as his “partner” and can talk to him, giving commands.”
