On March 20, 2024, Asana will introduce restrictions on access to the platform for companies from Russia

The administration of the Asana project management service from March 20 introduces restrictions for companies from Russia in compliance with EU sanctions from December 18, 2023 on the sale of project management software to Russian organizations.

Rocket, the partner of the Asana service in the Russian Federation, announced new restrictions in the profile Telegram channel “Risk of blocking Asana in the Russian Federation”.

“Our partners, represented by Asana, informed us that due to the launch of the latest package of EU sanctions, they cannot continue to provide service subscriptions for companies whose headquarters are located in the territory of the Russian Federation,” the Rocket representative said in a statement.

Rocket CEO Kostiantyn Kuznetsov attached a screenshot of the message the company received from Asana. The letter contains a call to stop supporting companies registered in Russia, as well as to terminate all contracts with Russian customers by March 20, 2024.

In August 2023, the popular task planning and project management service Trello, owned by Atlassian, began blocking the accounts of Russian users. Earlier, Atlassian, which develops Trello, Jira, Confluence and other tools for corporate users, announced the rapid disconnection from its services of accounts registered in Russia and Belarus.
