Netatmo smart devices (weather stations, cameras, sensors) are blocked for users from the Russian Federation
In December 2023, Netatmo began removing Russian accounts in its cloud-based smart home system, as well as blocking previously working devices from connecting to Netatmo apps. Reconfiguring devices with VPN services and using static DNS doesn’t help much. Netatmo’s smart devices (weather stations, cameras, sensors, dimmers, switches, heating and power management systems) turned out to be blocked for users from the Russian Federation.
Users in the Russian Federation explained that their weather stations, thermostats, Home Coach system devices and Energy systems were disconnected from the central Netatmo server without the possibility of reconfiguration. In some cases, using a separate communication channel with DNS 18.104.22.168/22.214.171.124 helps.
Re-registration of accounts on the Netatmo website to Kazakhstan and other countries does not help. In the Netatmo Weather and Netatmo Energy applications, all settings have disappeared, the cloud system does not see anything old. Connecting to third-party hubs and smart home control systems doesn’t help either.
Netatmo is a line of smart home system components developed and supported by the Legrand company, which left the Russian market at the beginning of January 2023.
