Microsoft has started accepting applications for the Imagine Cup 2024 student competition

Microsoft has begun accepting applications for the 2024 Imagine Cup student competition. Its participants are invited to provide ideas for a startup product based on artificial intelligence.

Teams can register on the Imagine Cup website until January 24, 2024.

Participants in this phase will receive access to the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub, $1,000 in Azure credits, $2,500 in OpenAI credits, and access to self-taught technical and entrepreneurial skills.

From January 26 to February 9, 2024, student teams must present their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) idea. From February 26 to April 12, the semi-finalists will work with mentors to finalize the startup idea. They will also be given access to Microsoft Founders Hub Level 2 and additional Microsoft Azure credits worth $4,000.

The top three Imagine Cup 2024 teams will then be selected and travel to the Microsoft Build developer conference in Seattle, where they can pitch their ideas to a final round of judging.

The winning team will receive $100,000 and a mentoring session with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The other two teams will receive $50,000.
