“Kaspersky Laboratory” adapted Telegram to KasperskyOS
“Kaspersky Laboratory” is engaged in the “development” of a smartphone based on KasperskyOS and has already adapted the Telegram messenger for its operating system. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the director of research and development of the company, Anton Ivanov.
“There is currently a prototype created as part of a research project. While it is being actively developed. We introduced Telegram, mail, work with documents – a full-fledged office package,” he said.
In July, Kaspersky Lab launched a platform for applications on KasperskyOS called Kaspersky Appicenter. The platform will feature the tools developers need to create, distribute, and manage the life cycle of applications on KasperskyOS.
In April, the company presented a prototype of the application store for Kaspersky OS, it was called Appicenter. It was reported that the marketplace should become operational in the III quarter of 2024. In the same month, Yevgeny Kaspersky, the founder and president of Kaspersky Lab, presented a KasperskyOS smartphone created by Aquarius. According to Kaspersky, the smartphone is used by the head of Kaspersky Lab himself, and all the software on the device was developed by the IT company.
In 2023, the Avroid company presented its own Telegram client for the Russian Aurora OS. The program is called “Tavro”, it is available for download from the “Aurora Market” program store. The special free version of Tavro (file ru.avroid.tavro-2.3.0-aur4-demo.x32.rpm), intended for familiarization with the capabilities of the software product, contains all the main functions of the commercial version with some limitations.
