Intel has released a beta version of the Arc&Iris Graphics video driver 31.0.101.4672 to run Starfield on Arc graphics cards. It can be downloaded from the company’s website.

This driver fixes some gameplay instability and visual artifacts in Starfield.

Intel said it is working to further improve the overall gameplay of Starfield on the Arc and will release driver updates.

Users have previously complained that the game won’t even launch with the current Arc drivers, and the running file runs in the background and for half an hour while it shows up in the task manager, the file can consume up to 30GB of system memory before either crash, or the game menu will appear.

At the time, Intel admitted that Arc Alchemist GPUs had serious problems running Starfield. The company promises to release a driver update before the game’s release on September 5.
