In the Ookla Speedtest ranking, the Russian Federation ranked 102nd in the world in terms of average mobile Internet speed in 2023

The Ookla company published the Internet speed rating according to the Speedtest benchmark. In terms of mobile Internet speed, Russia ranked 102nd with an average of 23.97 Mbit/s, falling three places and leaving the top 100, which it was in last year.

In terms of fixed internet speed, Russia is in 55th place with 84.74 Mbit/s. The country rose in the rating by four points compared to last year. Among individual cities, Moscow (98th and 73rd places in the ranking for mobile and landline Internet speed, respectively) and St. Petersburg (121st and 81st places) were included in the rating.

The United Arab Emirates took first place in the mobile Internet rating with 324.92 Mbit/s. The top ten also included: China with 161.56 Mbps, Norway (153.18 Mbps), Denmark (147.03 Mbps), South Korea (136.40 Mbps), the Netherlands (122, 94 Mbps). The big jump is in India, with the country up 10 points year-over-year with an average speed of nearly 95 Mbps.
