Recently, a certain dynamics of issuance has been observed, associated with exits to leadership positions in the issuance of new sites, such as VPN aggregators.
Getting to the TOP of such sites in a short period of time (the domain was registered on September 20, 2022) obviously implies a high efficiency of cheating, however, this is not the only and often far from the main driver of the growth of sites in a niche.
Observing such anomalies, we conducted a study on the dynamics of sites in the “Cryptocurrency” niche as quite competitive, but leaving potential for the promotion of new resources in it. In the article below, we offer to get acquainted with the main conclusions of the study, features and bugs of the TOP 10 sites, as well as the features of the algorithms for promotion in the niche.
Introductory information
A sample of 1,600 queries with a total base frequency of 776,551 was used for the research, from which 150 sites were selected – leaders of the niche, dominating in terms of the number of queries in the TOP 30 and 40 leader sites in the TOP 10 (Yandex was primarily taken for analysis).
The basic parameters that were analyzed are the age of the domain and the number of pages in the index (via site:).
Regarding the number of pages in the index, there is currently no reliable data, Yandex stopped showing this information, and Google announced only at the end of November 2022 news about seoshniki no longer targeting this operator.
The main insights of the study
Domain age
There are age-old leading sites, patriarchs of publishing. We do not orient ourselves there during the analysis. There are few sites with an age of 3 years or less in the issue, only 3 out of 41 in the TOP10 by query sampling and 27 out of 148 sites in the TOP 30.

Cheating in this niche takes place and in Yandex it gives very good results, however, the effectiveness of cheating is strongly correlated with the quality of the site, the presentation of information on it and its structure.

But such pages often do not reach the TOPs, so a simple setting of correct optimization will help improve the results (banal, but it works).
At the time of writing, cryptomagic.ru is still in the top, despite the blocking of hosting.
Request Intents
On a large-scale sample of queries, it can be seen that both informational and commercial pages appear in the TOPs, since most of the queries are multi-intent.
There is no regularity in which pages will be in the TOP according to which queries, so in this niche the rule of one query – several pages works very effectively.

The fact that the site, according to a number of queries, is confidently included in the TOPs of Yandex, but does not rank at all in Google, gives reason to predict a high efficiency of cheating.
If such a scam takes place, then it worked thanks to the fairly high quality of the site, clear structure and navigation.
The minimalistic https://coinpost.finance/ appears in the TOP mainly for LF queries, but with non-unique content replicated by various sites, this is not surprising.
And the strange design of https://kupit-bitkoin.pro/ is mainly due to the domain name, although it is technically made incredibly “on the fly”.
In general, in these examples, we see opportunities to enter the TOP both due to the improvement of age-old projects and system optimization of new debutant sites.

External links. The number and quality of external links were not analyzed in detail in this study, this indicator was considered secondary in this case, since a sharp increase in the number of links was not noticed.
However, individual examples show the effectiveness of link building.
Site https://unistex.com/ru/kurs-kriptovalyuty/kurs-bitkoina-bitcoin-btc-na-segodnya/ received only 100 new links, but it is in the TOP 30 and even in the TOP 10 for some requests.
Although the quality of the site is very weak and cannot stand the competition – it has only empty text content and charts with a disastrous loading speed.
The site crypto-the-market.net has collected 200 links and ranks even better:

Conclusions
Cryptocurrencies are quite dynamic, which gives opportunities to enter the TOP niche.
New sites can be promoted through large-scale development of commercial/EAT factors, product improvement and structural expansion.
In this topic, it is possible to reach the top of Yandex and Google due to the quality of the product, content and data submission format, even with insufficient development of the site structure, localization and number of pages in the index.
Anomalies in output are found, which indicates the dynamism of search algorithms, which allow the deconservation of tops, but at the same time about certain algorithm errors.
A rather weak site may reach the TOP, but it is not a fact that it will stay in it.
Top-ranking minimalist sites show that such opportunities exist, and for those launching new products in fintech, there are also opportunities to reach the top by creating a product in the MVP format.
Bugs of PS algorithms are present, but you should not focus on them, it is quite possible to conquer the issue with SEO methods.
When launching such a site, you need to improve the structure and functionality, analyze competitors on the Internet and abroad, and the standard recommendation “develop your site” works.
Yandex and Google have different ranking rules in this niche. In Yandex, the structure of the site and the PF cheat (where without it) wins, in Google – TFN in all its manifestations. Mini-chips are very important in Google, and their absence can severely limit the results.
