Sam Altman published Top answers to the question of what users expect from OpenAI in 2024, what improvements and novelties they need. The list includes GPT-5, video generation, improved voice control and much more.

The most frequent requests:

  • AGI (Artificial General Intelligence): Altman accompanied this point with the comment “please bear with me”;

  • GPT-5;

  • improved voice control;

  • increasing the number of requests;

  • improved GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer);

  • improved reasoning;

  • control over the correctness of the behavior of the neural network;

  • video;

  • personalization;

  • search improvement;

  • authorization using OpenAI;

  • open source code

Altman added that he will continue to study the remaining requests and the company will “accomplish as much as we can.”

Altman previously stated in an interview with Time magazine that AGI will be the most powerful technology invented by mankind.

“We need changes. We’ve always said that we don’t want AGI to be controlled by a small group of people, we want to democratize the technology. And we were clearly wrong. So I think that if we don’t improve our governance structure, if we don’t change the way we interact with the world, people shouldn’t create it (trust OpenAI). But we are very interested in improving the situation,” he said.

In November, OpenAI presented the GPT-4 Turbo model – a more powerful version of ChatGPT. Its database was updated until April 2023, and as a request you can enter up to 128 thousand tokens, which is equivalent to 300 pages.
