Google made it easier to unsubscribe from e-mails

Google makes it easier to unsubscribe from emails in Gmail. Now you can do it without opening the email, just by hovering over it.

The innovation is available in the Gmail application for iOS and Android. Previously, the option had to be searched for in the menu.

Also, reporting spam no longer offers the “Report spam and unsubscribe” option, instead you can simply click “Unsubscribe” when dealing with legitimate senders.

The new feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google accounts.

The company also announced improvements to Gmail on Android. Yes, the navigation bar has been moved to the side to optimize its operation on tablets and complex devices. This makes switching between tabs in Gmail easier.

From February 2024, new requirements for bulk mailings in Gmail and Yahoo will come into force. They will affect users who send more than 5,000 emails per day to reduce the amount of spam that users of email clients complain about.
