Global failure in PlayStation Network
On October 1, 2024, a global outage occurred on the PlayStation Network. Users of PS Vita, PlayStation 3/4/5 and other Sony gaming platforms cannot connect to the system. The company is aware of the situation and is trying to solve problems with players’ access to the “Account Management”, “Games and Social Networks” and PlayStation Store services.
Due to a network failure, only single-player games that do not require an Internet connection work. Players cannot log in, play multiplayer games, or play games that first require a network connection and login to the online platform.
It is noteworthy that when trying to launch some games, an error message appears, for example, PS5 with the code WS-116522-7. According to information from Sony’s website, this error means a crash in the system software due to a failed update.
