Duolingo began to be checked for involvement in LGBT propaganda
Roskomnadzor initiated an inspection of the language learning service Duolingo regarding the spread of LGBT propaganda (the LGBT movement is banned by the Supreme Court as extremist), the press service of the TARS agency reported. The service complaint was sent by the “Siberian human rights group Raditel”, created under the “Novosibirsk Coordinating Council for the Protection of Public Morality, Culture and Traditional Family Values”.
The request to block the Duolingo service is dated February 6. It says complaints about the app have come from “concerned parents in Ufa” because of “blatant LGBT propaganda.” The appeal includes screenshots from the program, on which it is suggested to repeat out loud the sentences with the phrases they are gay and lesbian bar. Radia activists indicated “they are Sodomites” and “Sodomite bar” as a translation.
