Deadlock turns cheaters into frogs

For the multiplayer shooter Deadlock, an anti-cheat system and a new character, Mirage, were released. Dishonest players will now be banned or turned into frogs for the rest of the match, as determined by other gamers.

However, after turning into a frog, the cheater will still be banned when the game session comes to an end.

This is the first test of the anti-cheat system so that Valve can get more data. Now rogue players will go through the same suffering that their victims had to deal with. Most likely, this will not have a significant effect, since there will always be cheats in a free shooter.

Other changes brought by the patch include a balance change. Many characters have been weakened, maps have been changed, and many small features have been added. It’s probably the biggest update for Deadlock since the game went into early invite access in August of this year.

With the Deadlock update, the character Mirage appeared, who has four abilities, just like the other characters in the game. He can turn into a tornado and move in the specified direction for a short period of time. When hit in this form, the enemy will rise above the ground and take damage. Transforming into a tornado allows you to dodge bullets.

The second ability, fire scarab launch, on hit removes the maximum amount of health from the opponent and imposes a bullet resistance debuff on them, while restoring Mirage’s HP.

The third skill increases the damage multiplier when hitting an enemy, and the fourth teleports Mirage, increasing its movement and shooting speed.
