Astra Group announced the official launch of the Astra Automation platform. According to the developers, the platform allows you to automate many routine IT resource management operations and reduce support and administration costs. It also allows you to automate the installation and update of software, the configuration of network equipment and the formation of security policies that meet the requirements of regulators and internal regulations of companies, the press service of the IT company told the Habra information service.

According to the creators of the platform, Astra Automation is the only automation solution that covers all the needs of IT professionals in system maintenance and integration, data management, cyber security and technical support.

The platform was created taking into account the open source technologies of Ansible core. Enterprise-wide automation scaling is handled by the Astra Automation Controller, a web-based application running on the Astra Linux Server operating system.

Astra Automation Controller is built on the basis of the source code of the AWX project and allows the use of individually developed automation scenarios (playbooks) created by Astra Automation developers, available in the Astra Automation Hub repository of ready-made solutions.

On January 23, 2024, public testing of the pre-release version of Astra Automation was launched. During this period, Astra Group partners and interested customers were provided with a preliminary version of the platform for familiarization.
