The author noted that Apple has made progress in the implementation of its AR headset, as it allowed to adjust the levels of immersion in augmented reality. According to Akson, when using a headset, a person is not distracted more than when interacting with an ordinary smartphone. He also noted that the speed of data transfer from the cameras to the Vision Pro display is very high and does not cause discomfort. However, the colors do not look natural, especially on a sunny day.

Vision Pro’s external sensors can detect the approach of another person and begin to gradually display it in the virtual environment.

However, programs seem to hang in the selected location and do not move according to the person. Yes, Axon opened Apple Music to turn on the music, and the program became fixed in the background of his neighbor’s house. When the journalist moved on, the program was left behind.

Also, Apple Maps doesn’t have augmented reality navigation, although this device is the best for it.

To start, Axon came to Potbelly to pick up his food order. He did not notice any special reaction from the employees to his gadget, just like on the way from home.

Later that evening, the journalist went to have dinner with his wife at a local bar, where he is considered a regular visitor. According to Axon, the waiter placed the plate in front of him with extreme care, believing that he could not be seen. “When I took the plate in my hands, he seemed surprised. “Can you see in this thing?” he asked. “Yeah,” I said. He shook his head in confusion and left.”

Akson himself says that he constantly felt social discomfort, although he received negative reactions.

Earlier in the US, users were spotted wearing the Vision Pro headset walking the streets, sitting in the gym and riding skateboards. Before that, the American police stopped the violation of the driver in the headset.
