Apple reveals how many apps will work with Vision Pro on day one

Apple has finally announced the number of apps that will work with Vision Pro at launch: more than 600 apps and games optimized for Vision Pro. This is reported by The Verge.

In addition to the compatible streaming apps Apple unveiled last month, the company says users will be able to access programming from cable providers like Charter, Spectrum, Comcast, Cox, Sling TV and Verizon Fios.

There is also support for the NBA and PGA Tour Vision app, which provides users “real-time shot tracking overlaid on 3D models of real golf courses.”

Over 250 Apple Arcade games will also work on Vision Pro. For example, Lego Builder’s Journey, Super Fruit Ninja, Bloons TD 6, Skatrix Pro, What the Golf?, Cut the Rope 3, etc.

Also available is Hold the World, which allows Vision Pro users to ‘visit’ the Natural History Museum in London with David Attenborough. And Voyager from ForeFlight provides “the spatial context of the coordinated nature of air traffic control.”

Vision Pro will also allow users to shop virtually with the J.Crew Virtual Closet, while Lowe’s Style Studio and Wayfair Decorify will enable users to design and decorate their homes in augmented reality.

Vision Pro will support a number of productivity applications. Specifically, file sharing service Box, brainstorming app MindNode, and task and project management software OmniFocus and OmniPlan.

Users can also try JigSpace, which according to Apple experts “combines 3D content, audio, video and text in interactive step-by-step spatial presentations” on Vision Pro. Other compatible work-oriented apps include Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Notion, and Todoist.

Despite the list of apps that come with the Vision Pro at launch, it’s missing Netflix and YouTube. Both services have said they have no plans to create apps optimized for Vision Pro.
