Analogue 3D was announced – a console for launching Nintendo 64 games in 4K

Analogue announced a console called 3D. Few details are available so far, but it is already known that the device will be able to run Nintendo 64 games in 4K. In addition, full compatibility with classic cartridges is declared.

Analogue rose to prominence with the release of the Pocket, a handheld game console for the Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance. A notable feature of the company’s devices is that they use the technology of programmable logic circuits (Field-Programmable Gate Array, FPGA). This allows you to achieve full compatibility with original cartridges.

About Analogue 3D, it is known that the console will be designed to launch games for Nintendo 64. The original resolution of 4K and special modes that reproduce the picture of CRT monitors are announced. With the help of Bluetooth and ports on the case, it will be possible to connect external controllers to the device. The company also guarantees full cartridge compatibility, as it did with the Analogue Pocket.

The company will provide more detailed information later. So far, it is known that Analogue 3D will go on sale in 2024. Prices are also not mentioned.
