Amazon’s new chatbot with AI will talk about products, make jokes and invent a fairy tale
Amazon is testing an AI-powered chatbot in its mobile apps for iOS and Android. The chatbot is designed mainly to receive information about products of interest to the user, but it can also respond to creative requests, The Verge reports.
The chatbot is available through the question box on the product page. The tool will tell about the characteristics of a particular product, it can also come up with a joke, write a fairy tale or explain whether Jeff Bezos will use the product.
As Amazon pointed out in a comment to CNBC, the chatbot is still being tested and is available to a limited number of users. CNBC reports that AI can’t have abstract conversations or answer non-product questions.
Over the past few months, Amazon has introduced a number of AI features to its retail division. The company uses LLM to create product descriptions, advise customers on clothing sizes, and detect fake reviews.
II Amazon works on the capacities of the cloud division of the company AWS. In November, AWS launched the Titan image generator aimed at enterprise users. AWS also offers customers access to other popular AI models such as Llama 2, Claude, and Stable Diffusion.
