5 single-payer devices for different tasks: novelties of September

Milk-V DuoModule 01

Milk-V DuoModule 01 is a modular single-board computer with integrated eMMC memory, support for WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.4, as well as a Sophgo SG2000 processor, an ARM Cortex-A53 core and two RISC-V XuanTie C906 cores. The module also has a built-in microcontroller and neural processor.

NanoPi Zero2

NanoPi Zero2 is a 45 x 45 mm single-board computer with a 49.5 x 29 mm case. It is equipped with a quad-core Rockchip RK3528A ARM Cortex-A53 processor, as well as up to 2 GB of RAM and internal eMMC memory. In addition, there is a microSD card slot.

As for the price, the basic model with 1 GB of RAM costs $18. For $56, you can buy a “deluxe” version with 2 GB of RAM, 64 GB of eMMC, a WiFi module and a case. NanoPi Zero2 is ideal for use in applications that do not require video output, such as file servers or media players.
Banana Pi BPI-CM5

The ArmSoM-CM5 is a single-board computer that costs more than the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. But it has a more powerful processor, more PCIe and USB connectors. In the near future, the manufacturer promises to release a version with 16 GB of RAM. The starting model includes 8 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

Orange Pi RV

It is a single-board computer measuring 89 x 56 mm, slightly larger than a credit card, and one of the first Orange Pi-branded products with a processor based on the RISC-V architecture. It is equipped with a quad-core StarFive JH7110 processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz and offers up to 8 GB of RAM. This computer is designed for developers and enthusiasts who want to work with RISC-V chips.

- RAM: 2 GB, 4 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4-2800 (single channel)

NanoPi R3S

FriendlyELEC NanoPi R3S is an inexpensive 57 x 57 mm single-board computer designed for use in non-display applications. It is equipped with two gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB ports, making it a great choice for building a router or file server. The device supports the connection of the display through the MIPI-DSI connector, but does not have video outputs such as HDMI or DisplayPort. The NanoPi R3S is available starting at $30.

The NanoPi R3S is available starting at $30 for the 2GB RAM model. Additional options include 32GB eMMC for $5 and an aluminum case for $5. It is an excellent solution for tasks related to network equipment thanks to the support of two gigabit Ethernet ports and the possibility of use in Linux-based systems.
