5 different models for work and entertainment

We continue to monitor the market of miniature PCs, trying to choose the most interesting models. Some are suitable only for office tasks, some are quite productive, they can also be used for games. Below is a selection of devices that we liked the most. If you have something to recommend in addition to the presented models, write in the comments, we will discuss.

ACEMAGIC S1

Another small device with an Intel Processor N95, 16 GB of RAM, two HDMI ports and two Ethernet ports (gigabit). In addition, the device has a small LCD display that shows the operating status of various systems, from the processor temperature to the speed of rotation of the cooler.

By the way, lighting lovers can be satisfied – there is an LED backlight on the front panel of the device, the parameters of which can be changed.

According to the manufacturer’s information, the device comes with an M.2 SATA+NVMe SSD, ie. supports work with two SSDs. The developers also simplified the upgrade process. Yes, the cover is attached to magnets, you can open it without a screwdriver. And under the cover – drives and RAM.

List of ports and connectors:

  • 2 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 2 x HDMI
  • 2 x USB 3.0 Type-A
  • 2 x USB 2.0 Type-A
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio (aux)
  • 1 x DC

The device is currently offered in three configurations: with Intel N95, N97 or N100. And here an interesting moment appears. The point is that the N100 option is the best if you need CPU performance. As for the built-in graphics, it is better to choose the N97 variant. The cost of the model with N95, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memory is about $200. A model of the same configuration with the N97 is about the same. But with N100 – about $299.

Acer Chromebox Mini

Acer has released a new mini PC based on the Intel Jasper Lake chip family. Configuration – 16 GB of RAM, 128 GB of main memory, gigabit Ethernet, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.2. It supports work with three 4K displays at the same time.

Unfortunately, the cost of the mini PC is still unknown, as it will be available for sale in just a few weeks. But it is unlikely that this mini PC will be too expensive, since it is assembled from relatively inexpensive components.

GMK NucBox K8

The GMK company presented its first system based on AMD Ryzen 8040 series chips. The GMK NucBox K8 model received an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor, as well as support for up to 64 GB DDR5-5600, two PCIe 4.0, two ports. The device can simultaneously work with 3 4K displays.

The price starts at $350 – that’s how much you have to pay for a model without RAM and memory. Well, if you need both, then you will have to pay about $500 for a configuration with 32 GB of RAM and 1 TB of memory.

MSI Cubi N ADL S

And this is one of the smallest mini-PCs in the selection. The dimensions of the baby are only 124 x 124 x 54 mm. It has two Ethernet ports, the device can work simultaneously with three 4K displays (apparently this has already become a standard).

Unfortunately, there is only one RAM slot, a maximum of 16GB DDR4-3200 is supported. But there are connectors for both SSD and HDD at once. Comes in two device configurations with Intel’s N100 and N200 chips.

The manufacturer positions this mini-PC as a device for work and office tasks. It is not suitable for video editing and games. Unfortunately, it is not yet clear when this model will go on sale, but there is a very similar model from the previous year.

Tianbo Cyber GOD88

A mini PC with an unusual design and Ryzen 7040 to Ryzen 8040 processors. The device is available to order at a price of $380. It is quite powerful, you can run not the most demanding games. Apparently, to emphasize this side of it, the manufacturer added lighting.
