Architecture Arm – This is a family of architectures with a set of simplified instructions (Reduced Instruction Set Architecture, RISC) with simple addressing modes. Data processing is done on register operands, otherwise loads and saves are used to move data into and out of registers.

Arm Limited is a British company engaged in the development and maintenance of the Arm architecture.

ARM is an obsolete acronym for Acorn RISC Machine and later Advanced RISC Machines. As we will see below, as the architecture evolves, the previous terminology is sometimes renamed.
